FAQ
Q: What level of experience do you require for your courses?
A: Most of our courses are designed and our instructors are chosen specifically to cater to all levels of artists. You don't need experience, just a willingness to learn. The Advanced courses do require a certain level of experience, don't hesitate to contact us if you have any questions about which courses are right for you.

Q: Where are you located?
A: The Art Academy is a pop-up art program so we don't have a permanent brick and mortar facility. We are currently holding our courses at CDW Studios, which is located on Level 4 of the Myer Centre in the heart of Adelaide's CBD.

Q: How often do you run workshops?
A: We operate a Summer Program and a Winter Program. Typically the summer program falls in January and the Winter program in June or July.

Q: Can I pay via Bank Transfer?
A: Yes! Just drop us an email at info@artacademy.com.au and we will send you an invoice with all of the payment details.

Q: Can I confirm my place by paying a deposit?
A: Yes! Email us at info@artacademy.com.au to arrange a deposit. Please note that deposits are non-refundable.

Q: What does it mean when you say that "students will be allowed to pick their seating position in order of full payment".
A: Each seat on the studio floor is allocated. Closer to the start date of the course we send out a seating chart that allows students to pick where they sit. This chart is sent to one student at a time in order of the date they made full payment for their course.

Q: What time do the courses run?
A: A typical day starts at 9am with a one hour lunch break at 12pm. The days conclude at either 5pm or 6pm depending on the course.

Q: Can you suggest some accommodation?
A: There are many great options in and around the CBD. For those looking to stay in comfort and convenience we recommend The Playford Hotel, located a mere 200m from the workshop. As part of our relationship with the Playford, they offer all attendees a discounted rate for the duration of their stay.

Q: What do I need to bring?
A: You can download workshop handbooks for each course which will list the supplies needed. We offer the option of pre-ordering supply packs from Art to Art and even paint rental programs for those who don't want to travel with their supplies or buy a full kit.
